GRACESPRING PRESS

This devotional invites kids ages 6 to 10 to change the world with God’s love. They’ll read stories about loving God, doing what’s right, being kind, and humbly following Him. They’ll learn about praying, living in God’s power, and being peaceful and hopeful. Each day also has fun prayer activities.

On the verge of settling into a meaningless job to appease her controlling mother, Hannah Kingsbridge, a perfectionistic university grad with little teaching experience, accepts the challenge to resurrect her childhood church’s children’s ministry; but when her disrespectful students sabotage something important to her and the church, she must learn that faithfulness is more important than success before she quits—or loses—her job.

When Hannah Kingsbridge, a perfectionistic children’s ministry director, finally feels like her work has become manageable, dozens of kids suddenly join her tiny program. With encouragement from a personable young pastor, she begins to recruit and train new volunteers, but when a handsome aspiring actor enters her life and tensions grow, she must learn that kindness trumps criticism before she loses those she needs most.

While contemplating leaving because she feels pressured toward purely fun-focused programs, Hannah Kingsbridge, a perfectionistic children’s ministry director, learns that a man she distrusts has been hired as youth pastor. When she discovers dark secrets about this man, and when a toxic leader discredits the children’s ministry, she must overcome her fears and speak up to prevent the church from losing its credibility, even if it costs her everything.

Struggling with exhaustion from the stresses of ministry, Hannah Kingsbridge, a perfectionistic children’s ministry director, commences a restorative journey; but after a week of profound healing at a spiritual retreat center, she has flashbacks of heartbreak that reveal deep, unresolved pain. If she doesn’t learn that she needs both God and other people, she will will be paralyzed in pain and will jeopardize a plan to mobilize many children to pray.

While not knowing how to advise parents who come for help in raising their kids, Hannah Kingsbridge, a perfectionistic children’s ministry director, moves into the home of a godly Christian family; but when tragedy strikes this family, and when things blow up in a toxic leader’s family, she must learn to love others with God’s perfect love before her perfectionism ruins her own “happily ever after.”

God invites us to fight for a love revolution of justice, kindness and humility. His love empowers everyone to love Him and love others with His genuine, sacrificial love. This book invites adults and teens to pray, act, and advocate for God’s love to overthrow the darkness in every sector of society.

This book provides an A-Z collection of 40 essential character qualities for educators who seek to change the world with others-centered love. Each day’s reflection questions provide opportunities for meditation and action.

“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

    A Puddle of Ink

I saw myself as a puddle of ink on the ground—a puddle of tears accomplishing nothing except maybe to leave a stain. Limp, purposeless, stationary. My ink was a beautiful blue-black that shimmered in the light, but it was only full of potential. Useful but unused. Jesus stopped to gather some of me—some of the

I am lying curled up on a beach near the water. The sand is wet and cold. With the tide approaching, the water will soon reach me. As the waves splash over me and recede, I know they will return to douse me and perhaps drown me, but I don’t move. I don’t have the

    Writing Among the Stars

I’m rowing a boat on the ocean, struggling to stay parallel to the shore and not be dragged in by the waves and current. Jesus is with me. “Stop straining at the oars,” says Jesus. “Let the waves bring you to shore.” I release the oars. We drift to shore, step out, and then lie

    A Call to Write

I am running down a beach, not jogging peacefully but sprinting with my feet pounding on the hard sand. I’m trying to run off my frustrations, my inadequacies, my worries. But they don’t fall away. They stay with me like a cloud of mosquitos. Exhausted from flat-out running, I collapse to the gritty sand. I
